Happy Holidays from Bucharest

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I had hoped to post these photos earlier, but the weather was super foggy for most of December making it difficult to take photos.

The weekend before Christmas, we ventured out to downtown Bucharest and attended the outdoor Christmas Market. Voices of Romanian children singing on a stage provided the soundtrack to our venture as we sipped on pipping hot wine. There were things for sale in little huts. Had my first taste of cozonac, traditional Romanian sweet bread. We ended up purchasing a few items at the market, to include a hand painted vase and matching bowl. It was below freezing but we still enjoyed the festivities.

Next up, foggy photos of Christmas lights.

Happy New Year everyone! I’m backlogged on planned blog posts so expect to hear from me again in the near future.
