With my plans to document my travels overseas, it was time to buy a new piece of bad ass technology that would do my journey justice. My choice purchase is my first DSLR, and first in the Nikon family, the Nikon D5200. With this nice tech, which I’ve named “Phoenix”, I plan to photograph and video everything I can and share it. In the few months prior to the big move I aim to get to know my new camera.
Last weekend I took it out for a spin around a nearby lake. Here are a few shots. More to come as I run around the DC area taking shots and enjoying my home area before we ship off. Coming soon… cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin.
